You can make this delicious recipe for your dessert in under 5 minutes. I use this recipe with Pillsbury and Duncan Hines brand, but I’m sure any brand will do.

Believe me this icing is light, fluffy and tasty. You won’t even know it came from the grocery store. Today, I’m making a basic cream cheese, but you can also add different flavorings to your icing, such as lemon orange or peppermint. Your guest will thank you.

In a medium bowl (this is enough for a small cake), with a mixer, cream your cream cheese for about 30 seconds.

Next you want to add ½ tub of icing at a time. Mix with the mixer for another 30 seconds.

At this time, if you want to add a certain flavoring extract (lemon, orange, strawberry) go ahead and add it now.

Now, fold in ½ cup – 1 cup of cool whip. Mix for about 10-20 seconds. This will make your icing tasty, light and fluffy. Now, the choice is yours. You can chill for 1 hour or directly apply to your cake, cupcakes or other dessert. Enjoy!
