So, as you may know. I bake a lot; I mean a lot! I have used all kinds of baking sheets, cake pans, muffin pans, and cupcake pans. You name it; I’ve probably used it.
So, in order for me to value a cake-baking product. I need it to be high quality. Clean well after each use. Literally, be a true non-stick pan. I don’t need these pans to crack under pressure. I need them to stand the test of time. Now, I also like my baking equipment to be consistent. Meaning I don’t like to have a surplus of unnecessary products or mix-match products.
Now, Wilton has a variety of baking products, but I tend to use the Wilton performance pans. For 3 reasons. 1. Well, I like to bake a lot. 2. I also like to save money. I don’t like to waste money, and 3. The pans come in fabulous colors. I have the navy set right now. The teal color is on my list next. I would love to see a plum or purple color.
So what’s the difference between Wilton performance and the Wilton non-stick bakeware? Here are a few differences:
Wilton Performance pans have a low entry price, I mean, they have been making cake pans for a while (since 1929), and it shows. Starting price at 15.99. designed for baking layer cakes, decorated cakes, home bakers, or pastry chefs. The pans heat evenly, bake evenly and are made out of anodized aluminum. The other Wilton brand is good; it’s called “Recipe Right”, and it has a cheaper price point. But it isn’t built for everyday baking. So, if you don’t bake a lot, this may be a good baking pan for you. It is a cheaper price point, dishwasher safe, and still gets the baking job done. So, either way, you won’t lose. If you are new to baking, try Recipe Right brands. If you enjoy baking like me, buy Wilton Performance pans. They are amazing.
